Individual Therapy
Services Offered
I offer both in person or online services for individuals in the state of Washington.
Hi friends!
I'm Emily and am so happy you are here to explore the possibility of therapy. I believe connection
with others is at the core of what we long for and sometimes just having one person to create a new
positive relational experience with can help you through the season of life you are in.
My Passion
My personal and professional experience has led me to feel passionate about working with
individuals and couples looking for a place to grow individually or to connect more in their
relationships. I help my clients identify negative patterns and aim to foster a relationship to help
them feel less alone, lost, or frustrated with their current life struggles. My work is highly
attachment-based, a framework that focuses on the impact of early relationships on an individual's
emotional and psychological well-being and how that plays out in the present. I specifically enjoy
working with women who may need help processing past or current relationship abuse, as well as
those who are being directly affected by a loved one struggling with addiction. My hope is to lead
you towards empowerment and discovering how to strengthen the relationship with yourself and
with others.
Education
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and I graduated with my Masters Degree
from Whitworth University. I have training and experience in a number of individual and family
frameworks as well as specialize in working with couples. I have advanced training in Emotionally
Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method.
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy for teens and adults.
Individual therapy offers a place to develop safety
and trust. In therapy I help individuals explore the
dominant emotions and patterns in their lives to
uncover underlying needs and suppressed feelings.
Sometimes life is overwhelming and you may be
looking for a place that offers peace, stability, or
hope. I love healing that is driven by building a
secure sense of self and empowerment.
Some areas of interest include:
Relationship Stressors
Processing Past or Present Emotionally
Abusive/Manipulative Relationships
Life Transitions
Processing Breakups
Anxiety
Depression
Traumatic Life Experiences
Self-Esteem Challenges
Divorce/Separation
Mental Health Challenges
Couples Therapy
I work with couples (non marital, premarital,
& marital) looking to develop skills to work through conflict. When couples learn how to navigate conflicting conversations in a healthy and productive way, these moments can create moments of true connection. In my work, I aim to help create a secure bond between partners so they are fully able to express their true emotional experiences and fears to one another.
Some typical areas I am prepared to address include:
Relationship Issues
Navigating Conflict
Parenting Difficulties
Infidelity & Affair Repair
Betrayal
Forgiveness
Improving Communication
Codependency
Impact of Substance Abuse on Relationships
Empowering Women
I specialize in working with women who have
experienced relationship trauma including: betrayal,
emotional, physical, sexual, or verbal abuse, etc. I also
specialize in working with spouses who have partners
struggling with substance abuse. Addiction not only
has an impact on the individual struggling, but the
whole family system. In this journey, I focus on
empowerment, education, and validation. Being on the
other end of these kind of relationships can feel
overwhelming and isolating and my goal is to provide a
space that is supportive and inviting.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in my first session?
First sessions are used to get to know each other and narrow in on why you have decided to seek out
therapy. I will ask questions regarding your personal background and current situation in order to
help me understand who you are as a person and how I can come alongside you. My hope in the first
session is for you to feel comfortable, address your potential problem and goals, as well as a chance for
you to get to know me and see if it feels like a good fit for you!
How many sessions should I plan on attending?
Each client is different in regards to determining the length of therapy. The number of session
varies greatly depending on the client's need. I want therapy to be whatever is most helpful for
you, so that may look like a couple months and for some it may looks like a year or longer. My
hope is to create a long term relationship so that even when therapy services end, when life
transitions or stressors come up in the future, you have the opportunity to reach back out!
How much do sessions cost?
Sessions for individuals are $140 per session and for couples $160 per session. I do not accept insurance,
but can provide a “superbill” which is a document that you can submit to your insurance for
reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.
